Techinnov 2018

Isomatex will be present on Composite Meetings 2017

ISOMATEX is pleased to announce its participation at the sixth edition of Composites Meeting. The two-day event, which will take place on November 8 to 9, 2017 in Nantes, France, is aimed at promoting the development of composites in various industries. This B to B event will bring together users of composite materials and suppliers of parts. The high mechanical performances, the fatigue and impact resistance of our products are determining criteria for the high-end composites of the future. Visit us at the Aero Space Days

From the 11th of October, ISOMATEX will participate to the ASD Days in Paris. The "Aero Space days" is a very well-known international event dedicated to Aeronautics, Space, Defence and Drones. COMPOSITES EUROPE 2017

The company ISOMATEX, a leading global producer of enhanced volcanic rock filaments, will take part at the twelfth edition of the Composites-Europe trade fair from September 19th to September 21st in Stuttgart, Germany. This event will allow ISOMATEX to confirm its commitment to major players in the advanced composite industry as well as to promote its expertise in fiber reinforcements. Our team will be pleased to meet you at our own booth A55 and share with you the latest updates and new features of our products FILAVA – multi-compliant reinforcement fiber for high-end composites and technical textiles.

Vulcano One

Together with his long-time partners, ISOMATEX just finalized the production of his first drone entirely made from composites material based on FILAVA^TM fibers. This new drone meets the highest standards of quality combining high strength, lightness and an ergonomic design for long lifetime duration and easy handling during use. This prototype is the result of research and hard work by a competent dedicated team, including our partner Ant-Arctic-Lab. Not forgetting to mention, of course, the great help Daniel has given to the project with his experience as a drone pilot. We are very proud to show the first pictures of it.

La Société des Ingénieurs de l'Automobile organise les 29 et 30 mars 2017 un nouveau congrès intitulé "Multimatériaux pour l'allègement". L'événement rassemblera la majorité des professionnels du secteur de l'automobile. Pendant deux journées entières, ils échangeront leurs idées sur le défi de l'allègement des véhicules automobiles. L'utilisation de nouveaux matériaux afin de réduire le poids des véhicules sans altérer leurs performances fait partie des réponses à apporter à ce nouvel enjeu. C'est pourquoi, ISOMATEX sera présent à cette grande manifestation et tentera d'apporter les solutions les plus adaptées aux besoins des experts

ISOMATEX embarked on the Ant-Arctic-Lab adventure

The ANT-ARCTIC-LAB is a highly ambitious yacht building and sailing challenge that highlights several industrial developments which bring more sustainability to the marine industry. Indeed, the Open60AAL imagined by Norbert Sedlacek is built out of our FILAVA^TM products and glued with environmentally safe epoxy resin. The boat is not only high performance; it’s also environmentally friendly and completely recyclable!

The big challenge of the well-known skipper Norbert Sedlackek is to sail a 60ft yacht, nonstop, singlehanded and without assistance from Les Sables d’Olonne (in France) to the Arctic, through the Northwest Passage, down the Pacific Ocean and passing the Cape Horn to circumnavigate the Antarctic continent.

FILAVA carbon hybrid woven fabric

May 2016. ISOMATEX SA has recently pioneered a new hybrid fabric reinforcement for various high-end composites in the automotive, aircraft, boatbuilding and ballistic industries that uses FILAVA^TM fibres together with 3K high tenacity (HT) carbon fibres (3K HT CARBON).

This new hybrid fabric answers in particular the increasing demand from the automotive and aircraft industries for composite materials and successfully combines all the advantages of FILAVA^TM and 3K HT CARBON fibres. Together they deliver a reinforcement product that improves the high strength-to-weight ratio and dimensional stability while having remarkable properties like high elongation at break, high stiffness, high thermal insulation, high resin wettability (drape-ability), high fatigue resistance and a unique eye-catching colour and pattern when transformed into a composite part.
