Isomatex SA (Isomatex) is a premier European manufacturer established in 2005 in Belgium and is ISO 9001 certified (globally recognised standard for quality management systems). Isomatex is also DNV (Det Norkse Veritas) certified for the marine industry and is expected to be “Aeronautics & Space” EN9100 certified (European certification) by May 2026.

Isomatex specialises in cutting-edge material solutions for a diverse range of industries, including aeronautics, marine, energy, sports and leisure, safety, mobility, luxury and even medical.

Our company

Located in Gembloux in Belgium in the heart of Europe, at the crossroads of the global fibre-reinforcement, substrates and composite market, Isomatex is the only European manufacturer of high-end mineral fibres and its downstream engineered substrates, converted products and composites.

Isomatex’s products are known under the trademark “TENRON”.

TENRON is an innovative, aerospace grade, 100% natural material made out of an aggregation of widely available elementary minerals extracted in Western Europe. TENRON is available is different formats: TENRON fibres and its downstream products, TENRON engineered substrates, felts, pre-impregnated rovings or substrates, composites and hybrids. TENRON fibre is the world’s highest performing mineral fibre.

Isomatex has been developing its own customised sizing solutions (a sizing is an extremely thin layer on the surface of the filament) over the last two decades. All sizing solutions are REACH compliant and are the proprietary technology of Isomatex. Sizing solutions are critical to the final properties of the filaments.

Isomatex’s factory and all its key equipment had to be specially designed in-house to reach the high quality standards required for TENRON to be aerospace grade. Innovation and ever higher performance are at the core of our culture.

Isomatex provides technical assistance to its clients with whom it sometimes co-develops and designs high value-added products. Isomatex creates highly innovative applications that guarantee the best performance, optimal safety and strict respect for the environment.

2005

Creation of Isomatex.

2008

Isomatex’s factory started to be built.

2010

Production of Isomatex’s proprietary REACH compliant sizings (coatings / binders) for all its applications begins.

2014

First framework agreement with a global leader in the aerospace industry.

2018

First high-end sport goods produced with TENRON (bikes, boats, etc.).

2021 April

TENRON achieves RINA certification for the boat industry.

2021 May

Isomatex becomes a “Global Visionary” candidate at UBS, Switzerland.

2021 June

Isomatex leads the clean energy transition for cars with the FCC (Full Composite Car) project with a world-class engineering group.

2022 August

Isomatex developed the world’s first high-end, recyclable thermoplastic composite used by a renowned Swiss watchmaker.

2022 September

TENRON includes the full range of products from fibres to engineered substrates to composites.

2022 November

First small wind turbine using TENRON.

2024 January

Start of the hypercar for the 24 Hours of Le Mans with leading world car manufacturer whose body is made with TENRON.

2024 September

First joint patent with Airbus Helicopters (division of AIRBUS Group) for a high-end insulation application making TENRON an aerospace accredited material.

2025 May

Isomatex’s products are rebranded as TENRON. Launch of its new website.

2025 November

Isomatex increases its production capacity up to 20 times.

2025 December

Marine DNV (Det Norkse Veritas) certification

2026 May
